What is an AI song cover generator?
It re-performs an existing song in a new style. Grok Music keeps the melody and structure of your source and generates a new arrangement and vocal based on your description.
Does the cover tool clone a celebrity voice?
No. You describe the kind of voice you want, and the model sings with a new AI voice. Requests to imitate a specific real artist are not supported.
Can I create an instrumental cover?
Yes. Switch Instrumental on and describe the arrangement, for example "lo-fi hip hop with dusty Rhodes and vinyl crackle".
Can I change the lyrics?
Yes. In Advanced mode, paste the lyrics you want sung. Keep the same number of lines and syllables if you want the phrasing to stay close to the original.
Can I use a song from my Library?
Yes. Any finished Grok Music song can be covered on any account. Uploading your own audio needs a paid plan or credit pack.
How much does a cover cost?
The credit cost is shown next to the Create cover button before you submit. Failed tasks are refunded automatically.
How close will the cover be to the original?
The melody and structure usually stay recognisable, while the instruments, groove, and voice change with your description. Big genre jumps and very different tempos move further from the source; try a few takes to find the balance you want.
How long are my files kept?
Every task stays listed in your Library, but the audio files themselves are hosted by our generation partner for about 14 days. Download the takes you want to keep: MP3 is included with paid plans and credit packs, and WAV export with Pro, Ultra, and the Large or Mega packs.
What audio am I allowed to use?
Only audio you created, own, or have permission to transform. When you upload a file you confirm that you hold those rights. AI processing does not clear third-party rights, and Grok Music commercial terms only cover what you are entitled to use. Rights holders can contact support@grokmusic.io with evidence of a dispute.
