Grok Music is a free Grok AI music generator and song maker in your browser. Describe a song or paste your own lyrics, and it creates full vocal songs or instrumentals. The same studio can extend songs, make covers, add vocals or an instrumental, and split songs into stems.
How do I make a song with AI?
Describe the genre, mood, instruments, and voice in Simple mode, or switch to Advanced to write the style, title, and lyrics separately. Press Generate Music, then listen to each take and keep the one you like in your Library.
Is Grok Music free to use?
New accounts get free welcome credits to try every tool. The credit cost of each task is shown before you submit. Listening and saving are free; MP3 downloads need a paid plan or credit pack.
Can I use my own lyrics?
Yes. In Advanced mode, paste up to 5,000 characters of lyrics for Suno models or 3,000 for MiniMax, and label parts with [Verse], [Chorus], and [Bridge]. Mureka creates songs from a description only.
Which AI music models can I choose?
Suno V6, V6 Mini, and V6 Wild, plus MiniMax Music and Mureka. Suno models support lyrics, titles, voice, and exclude-style controls; the model menu shows what each option costs.
Can I use Grok Music songs on YouTube or in commercial projects?
Pro, Ultra, and the Large or Mega credit packs include commercial use of the songs you generate, including monetised videos, podcasts, games, and client work. You still need the rights to any lyrics or audio you provide.
Is AI-generated music copyright free?
Not automatically. Commercial use depends on your plan and on what you put in: lyrics, references, and uploads must be yours or licensed to you. See the Terms of Service for details.
Can I download songs as MP3 or WAV?
MP3 downloads are included with every paid plan and credit pack. WAV export is included with Pro, Ultra, and the Large or Mega packs. Generated audio files are kept for about 14 days, so download the takes you want to keep.
What can I do with a song after it is generated?
Open it from your Library to extend it from any point, make a cover in a new style, add vocals or an instrumental, or separate it into vocals, instrumental, and individual stems.
Can I upload my own audio?
Yes, on paid plans and credit packs. Upload MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, or OGG files up to 4 minutes on Lite and the Small Pack, or up to 8 minutes on Pro, Ultra, and the larger packs, to extend, cover, or add parts.
What happens if a generation fails, or I close the page?
Tasks run on our servers, so you can close the page and find the results in your Library. If a task fails, its credits are refunded automatically.
What copyright rules apply?
Use only lyrics, melodies, references, and audio you own or are authorised to use. AI generation, covers, and separation do not clear third-party rights, and Grok Music commercial terms do not license third-party material. Rights holders can contact support@grokmusic.io with evidence of a dispute.
